Back in the 70’s, not having a chocolate fondue in parties was unimaginable. It was always a party favorite. It allowed people to experience the taste of chocolate covered strawberries, bananas, pineapple, pound cake, or anything else that they want to dip into the delightful chocolate waterfall that flowed from the contraption. It was a great conversation piece as well. You don’t have to tell the best stories or the funniest jokes. Just stand near the chocolate fountain, and before you know it, the conversations automatically start coming in.

White Chocolate Fondue

White chocolate fondue can be a lovely addition to formal gatherings. It also is easy to prepare. You’ll need 24 ounces of white chocolate, a cup of heavy whipping cream, and 2 ounces of cherry liqueur. Melt them all in a fondue pot, then add fruits, such as pineapple, strawberry, blueberry, and banana.

You can also spice it up by adding mint. It is wonderful for dipping shortbread cookies, pretzels, and other finger foods.

Dark Chocolate Fondue

Dark chocolate is considered by most experts as a healthy chocolate. It retains more flavonoids than other assortments, such as milk chocolate, white chocolate, or chocolate syrup. Studies have shown that eating food high in flavonoids helps reduce the risk of heart disease. Why not try a dark chocolate fondue recipe?

Chocolate Fondue Fountains

Fondue pots are usually the preferred way to serve chocolate fondue, but fondue fountains are even more spectacular. Most of these chocolate fondue fountains work the same way. First, you melt chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave. After that, add vegetable oil to the chocolate so that it is fluid enough to be pumped into the fountain.

The fondue fountain has heating mechanisms that will allow melted chocolate to flow, but they aren’t powerful enough for the initial melting of solid chocolate. Chocolate chips are the easiest to melt and use in the fondue fountain, but using premium chocolate will make it taste even better.

The chocolate fondue fountain doesn’t have to be limited to parties. It can be a great way to treat loved ones on a stormy weekend. It allows everyone to relax, talk, and enjoy the moment together.

It has always been a memorable item to have at parties and other events, but home variants are also available. A chocolate fondue fountain is certainly a must-have once you’ve seen the attention it draws.
